Tonight saw the official launch of the 2011 Bandon Music Festival.

The festival is really living up to its billing as ‘The Summer Starts here!’. The event is a list of who’s who of top class acts and bands. While speaking at the launch, committee member Dan Murphy paid tribute to those who work hard behind the scenes of the festival and other activities that take place in the Bandon area.

He wished success to the organisers of the Bandon Half Marathon & 10k run while also looking forward to the Bandon Show.

The music event puts Bandon on the national map once again as a location for top class music artists.
